Due to the Drybrook closure now in place the following has been agreed with Grindles for GR5 and DM3 from this afternoon, the vehicles got access this morning as they went through before the closure was set up.  The road closure is delayed from originally planned and we can not get access for the school buses.  The closure is in place up to and including 1^st November 2024.

 

GR5 amendments:

All Drybrook children will get dropped off and picked up at the pavement adjacent to Drybrook Rugby club carpark.  The children should wait sensibly along the pavement.  This change in stop will allow the bus to turn and travel back down the Stenders to Mitchledean to then continue onto Cinderford.

 

Here is a street view of where the children should wait for the bus.  They need to be there for 08:23.

 

DM3 amendments:

From this afternoon all Drybrook children will get dropped off next to the White houses (picture below) opposite Drybrook Road and picked up from the carpark of Hales Garden Machinery, they need to be there for 8am.  This will allow the bus to divert around the closure using Plump Hill.

 

In the afternoons children should wait on the pavement for the bus/coach to go up Morse Road so there is clear visibility to cross the road.  In the morning they should wait on the side of Hale’s carpark, being aware cars may turn into the carpark.
